Family Ark, located at 101 Noah’s Lane in Jeffersonville, Indiana, is a dedicated organization committed to fostering positive change in the lives of children and families within the community. With a mission centered on providing quality human service programs, Family Ark offers a range of services designed to support and strengthen families.
Established over 50 years ago, Family Ark has a rich history of collaboration with the Indiana Department of Children’s Services (DCS). This partnership has enabled the organization to deliver essential services, including foster care, community-based programs, and behavioral health support. Through its foster care program, Family Ark connects children who have experienced trauma—such as neglect, abuse, or domestic violence—with compassionate adults ready to provide nurturing and stable home environments.
The organization’s community-based services aim to preserve and stabilize families in crisis. By offering individualized case management and therapeutic support directly within the home setting, Family Ark addresses unique family dynamics and promotes healthy relationships.
Central to Family Ark’s offerings is the Behavioral Health Center, which caters to children, adolescents, and adults. The center provides a comprehensive suite of clinical services, including psychological assessments, various therapy modalities (individual, group, couple, and family), medication management, and substance abuse treatment. Emphasizing trauma-informed care, the center employs evidence-based practices like Motivational Interviewing and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. The clinical team comprises licensed social workers, mental health therapists, marriage and family therapists, and a psychiatric nurse practitioner.
The Family Ark campus spans a picturesque 76-acre area featuring natural wetlands, walking paths, and open play spaces. This serene environment serves as a backdrop for family events, therapeutic activities, supervised visitations, and community gatherings. Additionally, the on-site Lodge facility accommodates up to 150 individuals and is utilized for meetings, trainings, and events. To further support families, the Commissary offers no-cost essentials such as food, clothing, and toys.
