Hour House, also known as the Central East Alcoholism & Drug Council, is a community-based, not-for-profit organization located in Charleston, Illinois. Established in 1972, originally as the Coles County Council on Alcoholism, the organization has expanded its services over the decades to address various substance use disorders and therapeutic needs. In 2020, the name “Hour House” was adopted to reflect the philosophy that recovery progresses “one hour at a time.”
