The Guidance Center, located at 2187 N. Vickey Street in Flagstaff, Arizona, is a non-profit community mental health center dedicated to serving Flagstaff, Williams, and the surrounding Northern Arizona communities. Since its establishment in 1969, the center has been committed to creating healthy individuals, families, and communities by delivering comprehensive behavioral healthcare solutions.
Offering a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services for all ages, The Guidance Center addresses a wide range of needs. For adults aged 18 and over, services include general mental health counseling, crisis intervention, substance use treatment, and inpatient psychiatric care. The center’s highly trained team of therapists and care managers work collaboratively with clients to develop tailored plans aimed at achieving specific behavioral health goals.
Children and Family Services cater to individuals from birth to 21 years of age, providing evidence-based interventions to help youth overcome challenging situations. The team comprises care managers and therapists equipped to meet varying needs, ensuring that each child and family receives personalized support.
In addition to mental health counseling, The Guidance Center offers specialized services such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to improve communication and social skills, as well as outpatient psychiatric services that involve regular appointments and medication management. The center also provides crisis services, including a 24-hour crisis hotline and a 16-bed Psychiatric Acute Care
Unit for emergency psychiatric care.
