Aletheia House, founded in 1972, is a leading community-based organization in Birmingham, Alabama, committed to enhancing the well-being of individuals and communities. It provides a wide range of services, including substance abuse treatment, HIV prevention, employment support, healthcare, and affordable housing. Specialized programs cater to women, youth, and veterans, ensuring a tailored approach to diverse needs.
The organization operates several facilities to deliver its comprehensive services. The Outpatient Center at 201 Finley Avenue West offers an array of outpatient treatment options, while Men’s Hope at 135 Finley Avenue West and Women’s Hope at 4246 5th Avenue South serve as residential recovery programs. Additionally, St. Anne’s Home at 2772 Hanover Circle provides residential support for women in recovery.
In 2024, Aletheia House expanded its impact by securing funding from the U.S. Department of Labor to implement the Jobs for Vets program in Birmingham, assisting homeless veterans with job training and placement services. This initiative builds on the success of their Montgomery program.
