Nuestra Casa Recovery Home is a residential substance use treatment program operated by the Fresno County Hispanic Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services, a nonprofit organization established to provide alcohol and drug counseling programs within Fresno County. The recovery home serves adult Spanish-speaking men and offers a structured living environment focused on substance use recovery and daily stability. The program began in 1977 and has expanded over time to a 12-bed residential setting licensed by the State of California.
Services include residential treatment, individual recovery planning, individual and group counseling, substance use education, and counseling opportunities that involve significant others. The program also provides relapse prevention support, discharge planning, and information and referral services. A 24-week aftercare component offers weekly groups that continue recovery support following residential participation. Fees may be adjusted using a sliding fee scale based on financial ability.
Located in Fresno, a city in California’s Central Valley known for warm, dry summers and mild winters, the program operates within an urban area that provides access to community resources while maintaining a structured residential setting. Recreational and daily living activities such as physical fitness, gardening, and shared group activities are included as part of the program structure to support routine and social engagement during treatment.
