Four Directions Treatment and Recovery Center is a substance use treatment program operated by the Mescalero Apache Tribe. The center provides services for individuals and families experiencing problems related to alcohol or drug use. Programs include both inpatient and outpatient treatment options designed to support recovery and relapse prevention.
The program was established in the 1970s to serve federally recognized enrolled tribal members and continues to operate as part of the tribe’s behavioral health services. Treatment services focus on multiple areas of recovery, including educational, physical, spiritual, mental, and moral components.
Four Directions Treatment and Recovery Center offers structured treatment programs that may include residential care as well as outpatient services. The center also provides a 12-week aftercare program intended to support individuals after completing primary treatment and to help maintain sobriety and relapse prevention.
Programs are funded through grants from Indian Health Services and are available at no cost to federally recognized tribal members who enroll in the program. The organization operates as a tribal treatment resource connected to the Mescalero Apache community and its health services system.
