New Day is a residential addiction treatment program located in Somerville, Massachusetts and operated through Bay Cove Human Services as part of the CASPAR addiction services network. The program provides residential substance use treatment for pregnant and parenting women who are in early stages of recovery. Participants live on site in a structured residential setting while receiving treatment and support services.
The program focuses on helping residents stabilize in recovery while caring for their newborn children. Services at the residence include individual counseling, group counseling, psychoeducational groups, and recovery support activities. Residents may also receive assistance related to parenting skills, child development, and behavior management while participating in treatment.
New Day allows mothers to remain with their infants during treatment and provides a living environment where residents can focus on recovery and parenting responsibilities. The program may also provide referrals to community medical and social services, including prenatal, OB/GYN, and pediatric care, while participants continue treatment and prepare for the next stage of recovery support.
