Dove Recovery House for Women, established in 2000, is a prominent provider of women-centered addiction treatment and recovery services in Indiana. Located at 3351 N Meridian St, Suite 110, Indianapolis, the Marion County facility accommodates up to 40 residents at a time. The house offers a calm and serene environment that fosters community and support. Rooms and dorms are brightly lit and cheerfully decorated, with individual touches by residents encouraged. Common areas, including a community space and library, provide opportunities for recreation and learning. Residents congregate in the common room for meals, group meetings, and to socialize.
Dove House empowers women to become substance-free, self-sufficient, and healthy by providing safe housing, quality programming, and hope for the future. The organization offers free, comprehensive recovery programming and treatment services in a residential setting. Recovery programming includes peer recovery and case management, NA/HA/AA meetings, life skills coaching, and relapse prevention. Treatment services encompass ‘Seeking Safety’ protocols, stages of change/relational needs, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and individual therapy. The residential setting also provides employment and work development services, nutritious meals, family reunification services, and safe, sober housing.
Dove House is certified as a Level IV Recovery Residence through the Indiana Alliance for Recovery Residences, serving more than 100 women annually. It addresses the needs of vulnerable women, including those who have experienced abuse, homelessness, or substance use disorders. All programming is offered free of charge, with costs covered through grants, corporate supporters, and individual donors.
In 2022, Dove House expanded its services by opening a new facility in Jasper, Dubois County, located at 1480 Knust Street. This expansion was made possible through partnerships with local donors and a significant grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. The Dubois County location serves 15 women at a time, extending Dove House’s reach and impact.
