Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Center, located at 40 Timberline Drive in Lemont, Illinois, was a renowned facility dedicated to helping women and adolescent girls overcome challenges such as eating disorders, mood disorders, trauma, and substance use disorders. Situated on a serene 43-acre campus, the center provided a tranquil environment conducive to healing and personal growth.
The center offered individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s unique strengths, needs, and goals. A multidisciplinary team of compassionate professionals—including medical doctors, psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, counselors, therapists, dietitians, and nutritionists—collaborated to deliver comprehensive treatment. Residents benefited from a variety of therapeutic modalities, including individual, group, and family therapy sessions, as well as experiential therapies like yoga, dance, and art therapy.
Accommodation was provided in one of six comfortable lodges, fostering a sense of community and mutual support among residents. The typical length of stay varied, with adult women averaging 33 days and adolescent girls around 40 days. Throughout their stay, residents were encouraged to actively participate in their treatment journey, empowering them to take ownership of their recovery.
Upon completion of the residential program, individuals gained lifetime membership to the alumnae program, offering ongoing support and resources to sustain long-term recovery. Timberline Knolls was committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment where every woman and girl could embark on a transformative path toward lasting healing.
As of 2025, Timberline Knolls has closed its campuses and is no longer accepting new patients.
